“Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity.” – Charles Mingu

It is in my nature to make things as simple as possible so I could understand and remember them. Really, who wants to read 500+ pages just to learn basic administration? I had condensed the guides found in the Sun documentation site and wrote two easy quick reference guides for both Basic and Advanced Administration. Use it as a cheat sheet on working with Solaris 10 boxes.

Basic Administration

  • Managing User and Groups
  • Shutting Down and Booting
  • Managing Services
  • Managing Software

Advanced Administration

  • Displaying and Changing System Information
  • Managing Disk Use
  • Managing Quotas
  • Managing System Processes
  • Monitoring System Performance
  • Troubleshooting Software Problems

Feel free to share them. I hope they will be of  help.
